The four houses we didn’t sell.
At one point we took fifteen homes to market.
Eleven sold.
Four didn’t quite get to where they needed to be.
If you only looked at the sales statistic, you could stop the story there. I think what happened afterwards says much more about an agent.
Three of those four owners subsequently came back to me. We went again, adjusted what needed adjusting, and got the properties sold. The fourth is currently expected to return to market in a few months.
I’m proud of the eleven sales. But I may actually be prouder of the people whose houses didn’t sell the first time and still chose to come back.
Because that suggests something survived the disappointment: trust.
